This year there has been a focus on converting the Year 10 formal assessments from a NAME grading system to align with the curriculum levels.

This has meant going through each assessment and breaking it down by skills. We then go to the NZC and assign each question a curriculum level. At the times this has meant a total revamp of the assessment so that it is sat in order. It has also meant removing and adding questions so that they better align with the curriculum document. We have decided to span the Year 10 assessments from Level 3 to 6 and have updated all of the assessment criteria to match. I have been involved in making these changes for most of the assessments and it has been a pretty big job! It will great to finally finish it though so that there is more clarification and consistency among the Year 10 teachers and the students grades.
